Approximately 250 tons of cucumbers have been grown in Zarechniy greenhouses over the two months

The two-month cucumber yield of Zarechniy greenhouses in the Penza region, amounts to 250 tons, 81 of which was collected in February, and 162 – in March, as reported by Ivan Dmitriev, Chief Agronomer of AgroPromResurs, to Oleg Klimanov, City Executive.
According to him, a total of 1.650 tons of cucumbers will be gathered this year.
The produce is delivered to Zarechniy and Penza.
Representatives of the greenhouse complex have showcased recent modification results to Oleg Klimanov, such as the reconstruction of seedling section, replacement of 700 grow lamps and lighting improvement, as well as glazing refurbishment.
Moreover, 1 ha has been bottom heated, by means of laying 7-km underground pipes.
Climate control automation, along with full reconstruction of 1 ha including heating retrofit, circuit division, and capital repair of glazing are on the roadmap.
As informed by Communications Department of Zarechniy, the investor, holding a lease of the land plot and restoring the facility, has created 60 employment opportunities and significantly increased the yield: 1 k tons of bee pollinated cucumbers yielded in winter-spring period 2016, and 360 k kg – through August to November.
