In 2019 the Lipetsk region will produce approximately 200k tons of protected ground vegetables.

The expiring September has been fruitful for fundamental launches. On 9 September Ovoshchi Chernozemya project launch was announced in the Usmansky area. 86 ha of land is prepared for the hi-tech greenhouse complex. The investment amount exceeds twenty four billion RUB!

On 16 September the foundation stone at the greenhouse construction site was laid in the Yeletsk area. The production capacity will amount to 80 k tons of vegetables per year. The facility will be launched by 2020.

Protected ground vegetable production in the Lipetsk region has become a priority. The fifth generation greenhouses are built in the municipal areas, based on UltraClima technology. By 2020 it’s planned to build 230 ha of greenhouses.

The investment projects for cultivation of potato, carrot, beetroot and onion are underway in the Ismalkovsky, Khlevensky and Usmansky areas. The investors also build the vegetable storages and logistic centres to ensure high competitiveness of the vegetables produced.

The project investor in the Yeletsky area is «Agrocapital», who has already built the «LipetskAgro» greenhouse complex in the Dankovsky area. On the land of 60 ha the supplementary lighting and microclimate digital control greenhouses will be built in the Yeletsky area. The total project budget is estimated at 18 billion RUB. 1200 employment opportunities will be created at the enterprises.

Oleg Korolev, Head of the Region, who participated in the official foundation stone laying ceremony, has noted that this is a landmark event for the Lipetsk region. The investing company representative, who also took part in the ceremony, has emphasized the favourable investment climate of the Lipetsk region and comfortable business conditions provided by the regional authorities.

– Implementing the import substitution goal set by Vladimir Putin, we increase the pace in various directions. At least five million tons of sugar beetroot will be gathered this year – which is one fifth of all Russian sugar. We will ship double medical norm of vegetables, – as Oleg Korolev said.

Head of the regional executive authorities has expressed gratitude to the federal centre for the government policy, enabling Russian agrarians to develop production, and consumers – to receive high-quality food.
