The greenhouses in Moscow suburbs have produced over 20k tonnes of vegetables

The minister highlighted that the majority of vegetables – 19k- are cucumbers, and the rest – tomatoes. In 2016, just 21k tonnes of greenhouse vegetables were harvested in Moscow suburbs.

The yield leaders are Ozery municipal district, Kolomensky and Serpukhovsky districts.

A total of 304k tonnes of potatoes and 310k tonnes of vegetables are expected to be harvested in the Moscow region.

As previously stated Andrew Vorobiev, the Governor of the Moscow region, about 80 ha of greenhouses would be built in the region within 2 years.
